About The Position

The Seasonal Logistics Yard Coordinator is responsible for the execution of daily trailer movement within Target’s Distribution Center Yards. This role fosters a “safety first” culture through awareness, training, and accountability. The coordinator works diligently with carriers to ensure they are following all safety expectations and maintaining a safe work environment for all drivers entering Target’s yard, identifying and addressing any unsafe acts immediately. The role ensures the yard management system is updated to reflect the current status of all trailers in the yard and that all trailers are admitted according to current best practices. Effective communication with all DC executives regarding trailer needs, movement, and progress is expected. The coordinator monitors trailer releases to ensure trailers meet scheduled deliveries to stores and is responsible for the accountability of all Target equipment, including conducting trailer inventories and ensuring equipment availability for preventive maintenance checks. Furthermore, the role works cross-functionally with First Mile Transportation to monitor trailer pools and freight flow volatility, ensuring yards remain within threshold and safe. Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
• Experience working in a high volume, high activity environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Direct experience within a distribution center truck yard, or traffic management preferred.

Responsibilities
