Seasonal Janitors clean and maintain facilities at a remote winter camp on Alaska’s North Slope, helping provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for camp residents. The season runs approximately from mid-January through mid-April, depending on weather conditions. The schedule is three weeks on and three weeks off, with 12-hour shifts and approximately 84 hours per work week (40 straight-time hours and 44 overtime hours). The point of hire is Anchorage, Alaska. Company-arranged, paid flights between Anchorage and the job site are provided, as are room and board at no cost while working in camp. The role involves cleaning offices, common areas, kitchens, restrooms, living areas, and other assigned spaces; maintaining floors and surfaces; disposing of trash; changing light bulbs and completing minor facility maintenance; and keeping entrances clear of snow and debris. Employees may drive company vehicles to work locations and assist with other duties as assigned. The position requires following safety procedures, wearing required PPE, and remaining alert throughout each shift. The remote camp setting requires employees to stay at camp for their full three-week rotation and share a room with another employee. Work involves long, physically active shifts, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day. Employees are expected to follow camp policies and procedures, work as part of a team, and maintain a professional attitude. Applicants must pass a drug test, a post-offer fitness-for-duty test, and a criminal background check.
