About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise, as well as sales and customer service for floor Hunting/Archery merchandise. The role includes greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The associate helps customers make purchasing decisions by identifying their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The position also involves demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, keeping current on product knowledge and advertised sales, maintaining pricing and signage, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean, neat, and stocked. The role operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Customer service and sales knowledge for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise.
• GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a pleasant and productive shopping experience and legendary customer service.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and recommend products based on that assessment.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise at the gun counter and on the sales floor.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
