About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, maintaining pricing and signage, and assisting with seasonal floor merchandise moves. The Sales Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position works under general supervision, follows established procedures, and may use occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products and assist customers in making purchasing decisions by identifying needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Remain knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
