About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise, including floor merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction.

The position helps customers make purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The Sales Outfitter demonstrates products, maintains and replenishes merchandise, keeps current with product knowledge and advertised sales, and assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves. The role follows company policies and procedures and works under general supervision using established procedures and occasional independent judgment.

This is a seasonal, part-time position. Starting pay is $20.00–$22.75 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Customer service and sales ability for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and contribute to a productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise for sale.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
