About The Position

Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking Seasonal HR Clerk. To help the HR Manager with environmental, safety, and health efforts at the site. You'll be part of environmental and safety improvement projects and activities that support health and safety programs and campaigns. Your role includes motivating plant employees to prioritize safety, considering safety in all plant projects, offering positive feedback, and coaching, and setting a good example with your behavior.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with all information.
  • Ability to work within an active office environment.
  • Reliable attendance required.
  • Work cooperatively with others when getting or receiving information.
  • Withstand repetitive office demands, such as use of hands, wrists, shoulders, etc.
  • Work at least 50% of the shift with a computer keyboard/terminal.
  • 100% office work required, such as; typing, calculator use, computer input, filing, and legible writing.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with safety management software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.
  • Minimum of 1 year office experience required, HR experience preferred
  • Computer knowledge required including MS Word, MS Excel
  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Associate Degree in related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Schedule interviews
  • Maintain personnel files, both physical and electronic.
  • Assist with administrative tasks of safety and HR policy compliance.
  • Assist HR Manager with various duties as requested.
  • Assist with development of programs, procedures, work instructions and training.
  • Lead health and safety projects, audits, and inspections at the plant or department level.
  • Assist with project to define safety training needs for facility employees to meet safety requirements.
  • Expect high level of administrative duties in this role.
  • Assist with translation needs as required.
  • Assist other office personnel with work activities as time permits.
  • Assist other plant supervisory personnel with work activities as time permits.
