About The Position
ODOT District 12 is hiring 6 seasonal team members to support highway maintenance operations across Geauga County during the spring and summer seasons. This is a seasonal position limited to 1,000 hours.
Requirements
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
- Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
- In accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
- If involved in driving motorized snow & ice control equipment, must also have valid commercial driver’s license.

Responsibilities
- Serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.
- Perform highway maintenance activities, including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing.
