About The Position

The Seasonal Gardens & Grounds Assistant works with Henry Ford Estate’s Gardens & Grounds team to maintain the 17-acre national historic landmark, Fair Lane. This is an ideal summer job for a high school senior, college student, or a career-change seeker who enjoys the outdoors. The position offers flexible weekday hours (up to 40 per week) and is temporary, ending on or before August 28, 2026.

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Demonstrated interest and ability to work outdoors.
• Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in landscaping or gardening a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs gardens and grounds maintenance duties such as flower bed weeding, mulching, lawn mowing, edging, leaf blower use, planting herbaceous and woody plants, fertilizing plants, watering, etc.
