About The Position

The seasonal grounds maintenance laborer staff position is responsible for assisting grounds staff in their duties, caring for the fields, lawns, and planted areas of the campus. The seasonal grounds maintenance laborer staff performs various general service duties. The job is a full-time, temporary, seasonal, non-exempt hourly position.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license and can pass a background and motor vehicle check
• Proof of personal automobile liability insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working at heights and/or on ladders
• Flexible work schedule, including day, evening, and weekend shifts, as scheduled
• Ability to work in outside weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Mowing fields and lawns
• Trimming and edging lawns and around plantings and structures
• Painting lines on fields
• Trash pickup
• Assist with other general maintenance duties
• Follow all safety rules
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities
