About The Position
AmeriGas is hiring a safety-minded, customer-focused Seasonal Delivery Representative to deliver propane to residential, commercial, industrial, and motor fuel customers. The role involves operating a propane delivery truck on provided routes, filling bulk tanks, and delivering propane cylinders. Employees must follow applicable federal and state regulations and AmeriGas safety and operating policies, and consistently use required personal protective equipment. Depending on fluctuating business needs, shifts may be 8 to 12 hours. The position is home daily and includes outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check; employees are also subject to substance abuse testing under AmeriGas policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a propane delivery truck along provided delivery routes.
- Fill residential and/or commercial bulk tanks with propane.
- Deliver propane cylinders to commercial and industrial customers.
- Perform daily work safely in accordance with federal and state codes and regulations and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
- Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment.
