Seasonal Assistant Teacher
About The Position
Guidepost Montessori is seeking warm, dependable Seasonal Assistant Guides to support Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House classrooms serving children ages 3 months through 6 years during holiday breaks. The role helps maintain a calm, engaging, and orderly Montessori environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. The Assistant Guide prepares learning spaces, supports individual and small-group activities, observes children’s needs, and builds respectful relationships with children and families while working alongside Lead Guides and the classroom team. Montessori experience is not required; training and support are provided. Strong seasonal team members may be offered full-time positions.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children, from infants through age 6, in a school, childcare, camp, or nanny setting.
- A positive, flexible, team-minded attitude.
- A love for working with young children.
- Availability during school holiday breaks.
Nice To Haves
- Montessori experience; it is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
