About The Position

The Search Specialist is responsible for leading high-volume direct hire search efforts for engineering roles across multiple client engagements. This role focuses on delivering scalable, high-quality recruitment solutions for full-time engineering positions, optimizing search strategies, and ensuring timely placement of top technical talent in dynamic and competitive markets.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or search consulting, with demonstrated success in high-volume hiring environments.

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience managing recruitment projects or campaigns, including coordination across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and candidates.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Problem Solving: Addressing challenges in sourcing and placing direct hire engineering talent, managing fluctuating demand for specialized roles, and resolving bottlenecks in candidate pipelines for disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, civil, software, and systems engineering.
  • Solution Development: Designing and executing tailored direct hire search strategies, leveraging market data, sourcing tools, and recruitment technologies to improve speed and quality of engineering hires.
  • Key Outputs: Delivering qualified engineering candidate slates for direct hire, meeting client hiring targets, maintaining satisfaction, and contributing to continuous improvement in technical recruitment operations.
  • Client Interaction: Regularly engages with engineering hiring managers and client stakeholders to understand direct hire needs, clarify technical requirements, and provide updates on search progress and candidate pipelines.
  • Consultative Support: Acts as a strategic advisor on direct hire engineering recruitment, offering insights on talent availability, competitive compensation, and sourcing strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Project Coordination: Serves as a liaison between internal delivery teams and client engineering departments, ensuring alignment on timelines, technical expectations, and hiring outcomes.
  • Accountability: Responsible for presenting qualified candidates, managing feedback loops, and contributing to client satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery and communication.
  • Candidate Sourcing & Screening: Conducts targeted searches for direct hire engineering candidates using internal databases, niche job boards, and sourcing tools. Screens resumes for technical qualifications and conducts initial outreach or interviews.
  • Project Coordination: Manages timelines and deliverables for direct hire engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and internal milestones.
  • Client Communication: Participates in client calls or meetings to provide updates, gather feedback, and adjust strategies based on evolving technical needs.
  • Data & Reporting: Tracks recruitment metrics specific to direct hire engineering roles, prepares status reports, and analyzes performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of direct hire search efforts.
  • Process Optimization: Identifies and implements improvements in sourcing workflows, candidate engagement, and project delivery specific to engineering direct hire.
