About The Position

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers. Prepares and presents seafood products in display cases to promote sales and accurately fulfills seafood special orders, such as shrimp platters. Follows corporate and state sanitation regulations. The role also involves maintaining an organized workstation, learning to set ice displays to corporate standards, and promoting sales through suggestive selling, sampling, and public-address announcements. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have strong communication skills, basic literacy and computer skills, and satisfactory performance reviews. Pay is based on experience; the listed starting pay is not specified.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers when fulfilling their requests.
Keep the workstation neat, clean, and organized according to 5S standards.
Assist with preparing and presenting seafood products, including preparing, pricing, stocking, and maintaining the seafood case.
Perform sanitation duties, including cleaning dishes, food cases, and floors according to corporate and state regulations.
Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service.
Ensure customer special orders, such as shrimp platters, are accurate.
Operate seafood department equipment, including product weight scales, ovens, and cleaning utensils.
Learn and become proficient at setting ice displays to corporate standards.
Perform suggestive selling, sampling, and public-address announcements to promote sales.
Control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties assigned by management and follow company policies and procedures.
