About The Position

The Seafood Specialist helps ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards and are properly rotated, dated, displayed, ordered, received, and stored. The role maintains accurate product placement and signage, supports compliance during item transitions and promotions, and assists with front-end operations during peak business times. The specialist engages guests with a friendly, helpful approach and works a flexible schedule that may include weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to work around extreme temperatures.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, including up to 4 hours without a break or as required by law.
• Ability and willingness to use knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Must wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and follow proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
