About The Position

The Seafood Specialist is the store’s point person for seafood department excellence, ensuring product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. The role requires passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork to deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational integrity. The specialist owns seafood inventory accuracy, rotation standards, and presentation while supporting guest engagement and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events. The pay range is $19.64–$20.94 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on seafood ordering and replenishment.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and ensure proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
