About The Position

Threads pipe as needed for compressor units. Installs threaded piping to Engineering specifications. Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders. Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible. Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules. Adhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gear. Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements. Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Perform various other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read isometric pipe drawings
• Familiarity with manufacturing/fabrication processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
• Ability to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)
• Ability to read and use a level
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Welding knowledge such as GMAW/MIG hard-wire
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Competency test: Cut and thread a piece of pipe. Use it to build a small piping assembly from a drawing.
