About The Position

The Screener/Scheduler is the first stage of processing new volunteer applications for Path of Hope Rescue. This volunteer reviews applications, screens out applicants who do not meet the organization’s standards, sends scheduling links, and oversees applications as they progress through the interview stage. The role is approximately five hours per week, with flexible hours, and is fully remote.

Path of Hope Rescue is a Spokane-based, 100% foster-based dog rescue that transports pregnant dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in the Southern United States to the Pacific Northwest for adoption. The organization relies heavily on volunteers and fosters. Its mission is to reduce euthanasia of high-risk dogs in the South by helping them find adoptive homes.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter willing to learn and work with various software.
• Be detail-oriented and able to track many candidates and application stages.
• Communicate readily and be willing to reach out and ask questions.
• Be willing to think creatively and change or improve processes.
• Be organized.
• Love dogs.

Responsibilities

• Check for new applications daily, Monday through Friday.
• Monitor the number of applicants for each role.
• Screen out applicants who do not meet the organization’s standards.
• Email scheduling links to applicants.
• Balance the workload among interviewers.
• Respond to general inquiries by email.
• Move applicants through the pipeline using software.
• Keep the application pipeline organized.
