This is a temporary, grant-funded position contingent upon continued funding through the South Carolina Pathways Project (SCPP). Under the guidance of the Director of the Office of Career Readiness and the assigned Team Lead, the SCPP Career Pathways Integration Coordinator serves as a South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) project coordinator for the South Carolina Pathways Project. This position supports the design, alignment, and implementation of innovative, career-connected course sequences that integrate experiential learning and industry recognized credentials while satisfying required academic content areas for high school graduation. The position emphasizes expanding access, participation, and completion for students with disabilities and other special populations by aligning Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Individual Graduation Plans (IGPs), and workforce-aligned Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. The role works in close collaboration with the Office of Special Education Services, LEAs, and workforce partners to strengthen systems coherence, remove structural barriers, and support sustainable implementation of innovative course models. This position strengthens statewide alignment between career-connected education, special education services, and graduation requirements by supporting innovative course design, systems coherence, and sustainable implementation. The role contributes to expanding access to high-quality career pathways that prepare students, including students with disabilities, for successful postsecondary education, employment, and independent living outcomes. This position is located in the Office of Career Readiness.
