About The Position

The SCM Associate sources, negotiates, and manages procurement of trending products for distribution across H Mart locations. The role focuses on maximizing warehouse-level profitability through strategic vendor management, market trend analysis, and careful data management in SAP.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.

Nice To Haves

Purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management experience in the retail or food industry.
Proficiency in SAP, including Item Master and purchase order creation.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to spotting trends.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean for vendor communication.

Responsibilities

Negotiate with vendors on product availability, specifications, distribution logistics, deadlines, and pricing to optimize cost of goods sold.
Evaluate existing and potential suppliers based on product quality, pricing competitiveness, documentation compliance, and shipping reliability.
Identify and purchase new, trending items to help maintain H Mart’s competitive position.
Conduct regular market analysis and competitive shopping to track consumer trends.
Analyze sales trends to identify promising products and coordinate marketing efforts for new arrivals.
Investigate and respond promptly to inventory or product issues reported by stores or field teams.
Generate and review daily and weekly sales reports to monitor warehouse-level performance and profitability.
Create and maintain accurate SAP Item Master Data, including item descriptions, UPC scan codes, and pricing.
Identify slow-moving items through data analysis and implement strategies to improve warehouse turnover.
