About The Position

Procter & Gamble is seeking a Scientist for its Oral Care Measurement Science team at the Mason Business and Innovation Center in Mason, Ohio. The role focuses on designing and applying in vitro testing methodologies to study how novel formulations interact with enamel, dentin, and modern oral materials, using models that demonstrate product safety and efficacy. The Scientist will help modernize hard-tissue testing and shape the R&D pipeline through digital integration, automation, and scientific visualization. The position connects fundamental chemistry, material technology, and commercial product development. It includes supporting product claim generation, validation, and defense, as well as developing scientific evidence for regulatory clearances, marketing claims, and product launches. The Scientist will work with data scientists, formulators, and clinical teams to connect formula composition, laboratory models, and human outcomes and to support predictive digital models. The role is full-time and requires working onsite at the Mason location five days per week. Candidates should be prepared to consider relocation opportunities during their career as business needs and development opportunities arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Identify ways to optimize, automate, and scale experimental and digital workflows while maintaining efficiency and data integrity.
  • Participate in product claim generation, validation, and defense.
  • Design testing proposals, develop technical support packages, and build scientific justifications for regulatory clearances, marketing claims, and product launch milestones.
  • Identify measurement, microscopy, and imaging technologies to visualize and quantify product benefits and create scientific visualizations and product stories.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, formulators, and clinical teams to connect formula composition, laboratory models, and human outcomes.
  • Integrate experimental data into predictive digital models to accelerate R&D development timelines.

Benefits

  • Salary, bonus if applicable, and benefits are included in P&G's total rewards.
