We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Scientist, Bioscience to support portfolio programs through model development, mechanism of action studies, assay development, and in vitro characterization of radio conjugates. This role is ideal for a strong laboratory scientist who thrives in a fast-paced research environment and enjoys working across subject areas to generate high-quality data that advances discovery and development programs. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, execution, analysis, and reporting of a broad range of cellular, molecular, and biochemical assays. Working closely with cross-functional colleagues in biology, chemistry, and radiochemistry, this individual will help build robust in vitro capabilities to support target evaluation, candidate profiling, and translational decision-making across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • MSc. with at least 2 years or B.Sc. with at least 5 years of post-graduate academic or industry experience in Molecular/Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field
  • Hands-on academic or industry experience in a laboratory-based biology role supporting vitro research.
  • Demonstrated experience with biochemical and cell biology methods such as cell culture, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, ELISA, and western blotting.
  • Experience developing, optimizing, and performing cell-based and biochemical assays.
  • Demonstrated safe handling of chemical and biohazardous materials

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in handling radioisotopes is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and optimize mammalian cell culture systems to support candidate profiling and biological evaluation.
  • Design and perform experiments to characterize radioconjugates and investigate biological activity.
  • Apply methods such as immunohistochemistry (IHC), flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting, and related assays to generate high-quality experimental data.
  • Support the development, optimization, validation, and troubleshooting of new in vitro assays to address evolving project and platform needs.
  • Analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate experimental findings through reports, presentations, and team discussions.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and well-organized laboratory records with strong attention to data quality and integrity.
  • Work effectively with biologists, chemists, radiochemists, and other scientific colleagues to support project achievements and team objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice, Safety, Health and Environment standards and all other relevant internal AstraZeneca standards and external regulations.
