About The Position

LabConnect improves lives by partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and clinical research organizations (CROs) to accelerate the development of new medicines around the world. We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing operational oversight and support for the Human Tissue Science Center Team. Support will include shipment oversight, data management activities, facilitating communications, coordination of external pathology review and participating in all aspects Tissue Bank Project Coordination.

Requirements

  • Industry experience with tissue banking or pathology background
  • Demonstrated project, timeline and data management skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with experience in technical writing
  • Understanding of clinical trial processes
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and/or Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)
  • Strong computer literacy, including word processing, SharePoint, presentation, and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team matrix environment

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand study specifications for data management.
  • Monitor fulfillment of study requests including managing incoming specimen shipments.
  • Perform data management duties including eManifest review and creation, attachments, and virtual accessioning.
  • Communicate project updates and issues to cross functional teams including scientific project managers, internal scientists, external pathologists and operational teams.
  • Review clinical/pathology data and populate LIMS with appropriate curated data.
  • Create electronic manifests and virtually accession the specimens.
  • Create fresh tissue service orders in collaboration with specimen manager.
  • Coordinate external pathology review, including shipment and data management.
  • Liaise with study managers and specimen managers to fulfill data and shipment management activities.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and revisions of playbook or process documents.
  • Renew SOWs with external suppliers.
  • Participate in and/or lead operational process improvements and collect Key Performance Indicators and metrics assessments.
