About The Position
Owensboro Catholic Schools has an immediate opening for a full-time Science teacher at OCMS. The ideal candidate would be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who has a Science Education degree and has a passion for teaching adolescents.
Requirements
- Have a passion for teaching adolescents
- Science Education degree or teaching experience
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed with precise attention to detail, goal-oriented, organized, and a team player with a positive attitude
- Must pass a criminal background check and complete safe environment training for the Diocese of Owensboro before employment can be granted

Responsibilities
- Provide daily Science instruction for students in grades 7-8
- Use best practices to provide effective instruction and positive, consistent classroom management
- Communicate with students, parents, and other stakeholders in a professional and positive manner
- Function as a cooperative, productive team member at OCMS
- Support and uphold the philosophy and mission of the Catholic Church and the Owensboro Catholic School System.
