About The Position

As a Discovery Point Childcare Lead Teacher, you will plan lessons and instruct children in activities according to the approved curriculum, promoting their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. You will establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, participate in center functions, and communicate with and build positive relationships with families. The role includes implementing weekly curricula, directing classroom staff, organizing and following a daily schedule, and complying with state and Discovery Point policies and regulations. You will help maintain a welcoming, upbeat classroom atmosphere and ensure the classroom remains safe and clean. Requirements

Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum.
Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations.
Ability to obtain training in CPR/Fire Safety and other required training.
Must have a CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education.
Meet all state requirements for a lead teacher.
