School Social Worker (SW PEL Required)
About The Position
Our Organization is partnering with an Illinois school district to hire a compassionate School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based opportunity. If you're passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning while supporting their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being, we'd love to connect with you. As a valued member of the student services team, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to create meaningful interventions that promote student success. Requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement.
Nice To Haves
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group counseling services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress.
- Conduct student assessments and develop intervention strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate social-emotional interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and community agencies to coordinate support services.
