School Resource Officer (VADCJS Certified)
About The Position
The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time School Resource Officer position. Applicants must possess current VADCJS law enforcement certification. Salary commensurate with experience, and to be discussed at interview. As the primary law enforcement agency in Campbell County, the Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to professionalism, public safety, and service to the community. Requirements
- Possess current VADCJS law enforcement certification
- Be at least 18 years of age (21 if applying for deputy sheriff positions)
- Hold a high school diploma, GED, or higher degree (Associate degree preferred)
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Be technically skilled in applicable equipment
- Provide exemplary customer service to students, faculty, and the community
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Consent to an extensive background investigation
- Be in good physical condition
- Maintain a favorable driving record
- Successfully meet all training requirements
