About The Position

Smile America Partners, the nation's largest in-school dental program, is seeking a School Relationship Manager to facilitate dental services for children who may not otherwise receive dental care. For over 20 years, Smile America Partners has been dedicated to improving the lives of children through accessible dental care, and this role is crucial in expanding our reach to more children in need.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to review detailed documents, process data entry, and read computer screens simultaneously.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain close working relationships with school contacts to drive participation, ensure successful dental visits, and expand services to children in need.
  • Serve as the key liaison between the school and the dental team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all school interactions, both pre-visit and post-visit.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school contacts, such as nurses and receptionists.
  • Maintain frequent communication and provide excellent customer service, handling and resolving inquiries and issues from schools.
  • Monitor form receipt and encourage participation, identifying and addressing issues with patient counts for upcoming visits.
  • Deploy Oral Health Educators to improve form return rates where applicable.
  • Coordinate needs for automated patient/parent communications, including PA announcements, robo calls, emails/texts, and online links.
  • Manage and compile visit lists and patient information for school contacts and the dental team.
  • Coordinate visit logistics with school contacts, ensuring dental teams have appropriate information on visit dates.
  • Maintain a full schedule and make adjustments as needed based on participation and capacity.
  • Schedule current and future visits.
  • Review feedback from school contacts and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update the database.
  • Be jointly accountable for school performance with the Dental Team Manager.
