About The Position

Two full-time school psychology internship positions are anticipated for the 2027-2028 school year. The Office of Psychological Services is a progressive office providing consultation, assessment, and intervention services to all students, in a large, very diverse suburban school district. The internship is designed to meet standards of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a NASP and/or APA Approved Graduate Program in School Psychology.
  • Graduate Program must recommend the applicant for an internship (as indicated in at least one letter of reference from a graduate program faculty member)
  • Two letters of recommendation are required (1 from a faculty member in the applicant’s graduate program and one from a field-based experience/practicum supervisor if possible).
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
  • Applicants are required to have a completed application on file for employment with Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS).
  • Information on your resume and application must match.
  • Professional references must be submitted to complete your application.

  • If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214.
  • Official transcripts will be required upon hire and must be sent via escript/clearinghouse from your university.
  • Some positions will require employees to undergo a physical examination and/or drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Attending school teams.
  • Conducting formal and informal student and classroom observations.
  • Conducting psychological assessments, curriculum based assessments, and functional behavioral assessments.
  • Writing assessment reports.
  • Providing instructional and behavioral consultation.
  • Providing individual and group counseling.
  • Offering staff development activities as determined by the field supervisor.
  • Attending staff meetings and Clinical Supervision sessions as scheduled throughout the school year.
  • Other duties as assigned.
