About The Position

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring an onsite School Psychologist for a school-based role in Illinois. The position supports children’s social, emotional, and behavioral needs and contributes to PDS’s mission of positively impacting children and communities. The role involves counseling students and parents, participating in student support and IEP processes, collaborating with families and school staff, and maintaining required records and schedules. Requirements

Master's degree in Psychology.
Has obtained or is eligible for a School Psychologist endorsement as prescribed by the State Department of Education.
Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and courteously, verbally and in writing.
Ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.

Nice To Haves

Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health.

Responsibilities

Provide counseling services to students and their parents.
Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss student diagnoses and treatment.
Participate in initial and annual IEP development, as appropriate.
Collaborate with and coach families and staff during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings to support social and emotional development.
Follow federal, state, and local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines, and procedural safeguards.
Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with required meetings and services.
