About The Position

Hanford Elementary School District is the largest school district in Kings County servicing nearly 5,500 students and employing over 700 personnel. Our District includes eight TK-6 Elementary schools, one K-8 Spanish Dual Immersion school, two Junior High schools and one Community Day school. Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Nursing or Health Education.
• R.N., registered in California
• Valid California School Nurse Services Credential
• Valid Audiometric Certification
• Experience as a School Nurse
• Valid California School Nurse Services Credential

Nice To Haves

• Three years successful experience as a school nurse (K-8) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting health screenings
• Monitoring immunizations
• Kindergarten and/or first grade physicals
• Providing health-related in-services for teachers and other staff
• Checking and monitoring pupils referred for health needs, illnesses, and emergencies
• Monitoring referrals for pupils to community health agencies
