About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health – Massachusetts and Rhode Island is seeking a School ELL Teacher to join their team in Rutland, MA. This role is within a day and residential school that provides special education and treatment for youth ages 6-22 with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The position offers a starting pay of $55,000/year, with potential to reach $77,480/year based on education, licensure, and experience. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Devereux is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with behavioral and psychological disorders.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid driver's license required
Bachelor's degree required
Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities and ESL required
Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, in Rutland, MA

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and teach lessons in accordance with MA Curriculum framework and students' IEPs.
Provide supervision of Teacher's Aides in the classroom.
Work diligently to meet the needs of our students, both in the classroom, and by being a positive role model to others.
Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
