About The Position

The School Custodian cleans and sanitizes classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas at a school in Lorain, Ohio. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and pays $15.00 per hour. The custodian performs routine cleaning and floor-care duties, replenishes supplies, reports facility or safety issues, follows safe chemical-handling procedures, and secures the building after cleaning. The employer is a full-service facility maintenance company providing janitorial services to industrial, commercial, and construction customers throughout Northeast Ohio.

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a BCI/FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as needed.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, and other supplies.
• Perform floor-care duties.
• Report damages, repairs, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Follow proper safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals appropriately.
• Lock doors and windows to secure the building after cleaning.
• Perform other cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor.
