About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K–12 school, college, or university campus. The position is located at 21650 Bellaire Blvd., Richmond, TX 77407, pays $13.50 per hour, paid weekly, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., including rotating weekends. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience or high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required. The role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Nice To Haves

Prior customer service experience.
One year of prior similar work experience.
Military or veteran experience is encouraged; listed Military Occupational Specialty Codes are 92S, 92Y, LS, 3051, and 3F1X1.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
Sweep and mop floors and remove debris and spills in designated areas.
Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the lead cleaner or manager about the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
Polish hard surfaces, including woodwork and stainless steel.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Maintain restroom cleanliness, cleaning and polishing as needed.
Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
