About The Position

Under general supervision, responsible for ensuring the safe crossing of City streets for school students. This position exercises no supervision. Work involves potential hazard of heavy traffic. The employee will report to the assigned crossing location at designated times, oversee school students while monitoring traffic to identify a safe crossing opportunity, and physically occupy a crosswalk while school students cross the street. Other job-related duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

• Work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Act quickly and calmly in emergencies.
