About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of the Public Safety Patrol Lieutenant or on-duty Police Command Staff, the School Crossing Guard safeguards and regulates pedestrian traffic crossing public roadways and intersections at an assigned location to help ensure the safety of children walking to and from school. This is a part-time, seasonal, non-exempt position, working approximately two hours per day, Monday through Friday, during the public school year (September through June), excluding school holidays and non-school days. Specific hours are set by the Patrol Lieutenant and may vary according to demand and workload. The position is open until filled.
