About The Position
School Crossing Guards help students travel safely to and from school while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule with weekends, school holidays, and summer breaks off. This is a very part-time position with split shifts before and after school. Because this position follows the local school calendar, there are no scheduled shifts during weekends, school holidays, or summer break.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to stand during scheduled shifts
- Strong communication and observation skills
Nice To Haves
- Applicants living in or near Whittier may be better suited for the scheduled shift times
Responsibilities
- Assist students and pedestrians at designated crossings
- Help maintain safe traffic flow near schools
- Remain alert to changing traffic conditions
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, school staff, and drivers
- Follow all company safety procedures
