About The Position

The School Bus Monitor/Aide assists the bus driver in providing students with a safe journey to and from school. The role involves helping students board and exit, supporting children with special needs during transport, reinforcing bus safety rules, and communicating with the driver to maintain a calm ride. Monitors also provide daily care and encouragement to students. No prior experience is required; safety and training programs are provided. The position is part-time in Clinton, Missouri, with flexible weekday split shifts for morning and afternoon routes.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work flexible split shifts (AM/PM).
• Have the physical ability to assist students and perform emergency procedures.
• Be friendly, reliable, and patient when working with children.
• Be team-oriented and focused on safety.
• Be proficient in English.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification.
