About The Position

Durham School Services is hiring School Bus Drivers in the Minetto/Oswego, NY area. No previous experience is required as they provide training and assist with obtaining a CDL. This role offers a schedule that fits various lifestyles, including parents looking for work around school hours, retirees seeking active income, or individuals ready for a change. Drivers can earn $20/hour with 30 guaranteed hours per week, with nights, weekends, and holidays free. The company emphasizes a supportive, safety-focused environment where drivers directly impact local students and families. Walk-in interviews are available Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at 34 Co. Route 31, Oswego, NY 13126.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must have held a driver’s license for at least 3 years
• Minimum age: 21
• If you’ve held a DOT-regulated driving role in the past 3 years, we must be able to verify that employment per DOT guidelines
• Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
• Compliance with DOT regulations, marijuana is prohibited, even for medical use
• Reliable attendance and a safety-first attitude

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes
• Transport students to and from school, sports, and events
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe bus environment
• Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff
