About The Position

AB Staffing is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2026/2027 school year in Varnville, South Carolina. This contract position is 37.5 hours per week and follows the academic district calendar. Compensation is $60 per hour, or $2,250 per week. The therapist evaluates and treats patients, develops individualized plans of care, documents services, and coordinates care with the rehabilitation team, physicians, and other disciplines. The role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
South Carolina Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L).
Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
Experience identifying students with exceptional needs.
BLS/CPR certification.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
Render competent care to patients.
Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
Build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
Communicate pertinent patient information with the rehabilitation team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed to provide continuity of care.
Document patient care in accordance with department policies.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, regulations, and infection-control policies and protocols.
