School-Age Childcare Staff – After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for its After School Program at Ellicottville Elementary School in Ellicottville, New York, for the 2026–2027 school year. The part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar, with the afternoon program scheduled from 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pay is $16.00–$17.00 per hour. Staff facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion. They provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as positive role models. The role also involves following state regulations and program and host-school policies, and may include supporting attendance records, registration, and staffing operations. Healthy Kids Programs provides early learning, before- and after-school, and summer camp programs at more than 150 locations. It describes itself as a certified Benefit Corporation focused on making childcare accessible and affordable while creating meaningful opportunities for children, families, and team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or at least one year of experience working with children under age 13.
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physical ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host-school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
