About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Scheduling Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Houston, TX. This position will initially work in Houston and relocate to the project site in Anderson County, TX once the project mobilizes. The Scheduling Manager will oversee scheduling across all phases of a construction project, leading schedule development, maintenance, and integration across departments and project partners. This senior-level role requires advanced scheduling expertise, knowledge of construction methodologies and Advanced Work Packaging, and the ability to turn schedule analysis into clear, actionable guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least eight years of industry experience, or ten years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in scheduling or project controls.
  • Advanced knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and earned value reporting.
  • Proficiency in Primavera/Oracle scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and Advanced Work Packaging.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to Anderson County, TX upon project mobilization and work the required field schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Acumen Fuse and work packaging software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading scheduling teams and coordinating with clients, construction leadership, and project partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of project schedules to support project goals and construction execution plans.
  • Manage scheduling team operations, including staff supervision, performance reviews, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Direct schedule development, baseline establishment, and re-baselining efforts.
  • Integrate schedules across project phases, departments, and partner organizations.
  • Produce and review weekly and monthly scheduling reports, communicating progress, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Coordinate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, align priorities, and drive schedule mitigation and recovery efforts.
  • Represent scheduling in client meetings, cost reviews, and change order discussions.
  • Ensure schedules comply with contract requirements and promote the use of RBP documents and scheduling best practices.
  • Maintain schedule integrity through quality checks, including reviews of float, open ends, logic, and Acumen Fuse results.
  • Apply CPM scheduling, earned value reporting, and Advanced Work Packaging principles to support planning and execution.
