About The Position

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating planning schedules for all production departments, working closely with HR and the management team to ensure adequate resources for planning schedules. This role involves leading weekly SIOP planning meetings, scheduling various types of tubing, and ensuring machinery is scheduled to meet sales demand and repair schedules. The coordinator will also review work center capacity and inventory levels to optimize production and reduce aged inventory. Key administrative duties include computer entry of engineering change notices, assisting with month-end closing and physical inventory, and maintaining ISO and Sarbanes/Oxley documentation related to production scheduling. Additionally, the role involves assuming other duties as assigned, participating in cross-functional teams for business initiatives, and maintaining department records and reports for management.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain management
  • Materials Requirements Planning experience required
  • Enterprise Resource Planning experience required
  • Strong PC skills are required
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications
  • High energy level; comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible
  • Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate planning schedules for all production departments
  • Work with HR and management team to coordinate resources for planning schedules

  • Perform the scheduling of coiled, straights, spooled, and Galfan tubing
  • Schedule machinery to meet sales demand and machinery repair schedules
  • Review work center capacity to meet production plan
  • Review inventory to reduce aged inventory
  • Responsible for computer entry of all engineering change notices
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Assist with physical inventory
  • Maintain ISO and Sarbanes/Oxley documentation as it pertains to production scheduling
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by manager
  • Participate on cross-functional teams dedicated to the development of key business initiatives
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports
  • Prepares periodic reports to top management as necessary
