About The Position

The Scheduling Administrator assists the Production Scheduler with planning, scheduling, releasing, and tracking irradiation workflow from the sales department through the manufacturing plant. The position reports directly to the Production Scheduler. Work is mainly in an office environment, with a minimal amount of time spent in a warehouse. The schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, eight hours per day.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
High school diploma.
At least one year of experience working in a wire and cable manufacturing facility in production or quality.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, twinning, cabling, braiding, and taping.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing machines in the Valparaiso plant and their capabilities.
Understanding of raw materials needed to manufacture wire and cable.
Knowledge of the Rubicon system for identifying customer sales orders, vendor purchase orders, and production work orders.
Ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
Efficient time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Enter special orders for stock or rework into the Rubicon system.
Coordinate with the purchasing department to expedite raw materials when needed.
Coordinate production, shipment, and receipt of material requiring processes from outside sources, such as irradiation.
Coordinate with the sales team to track or expedite orders related to irradiation processing.
