About The Position

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support a transportation program. The Scheduler is responsible for project coordination work in a variety of schedule development, schedule analysis, and other project control activities including cost and fund controls related to transportation capital projects. The Scheduler will lead the development, integration, and analysis of schedules, ensuring alignment across design, construction, and third-party stakeholders. The candidate will play a critical role in identifying risks, supporting strategic decision making, and maintaining schedule integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing schedules for transportation projects.
  • Strong proficiency in CPM scheduling and in project control software (Primavera 6, unifier, Microsoft Project).
  • Experience with project financial forecasting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change order and extension of time analysis.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multi-project teams within large programs.
  • Strong reporting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in delivery of transportation projects.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and updates project master schedules, detailed working schedules and schedule reports, workaround plans, and related schedule reports. Scheduler will be responsible for regular updating of various project schedules;
  • Coordinates activities of the project controls group with project staff;
  • Prepares and directs the preparation of a variety of progress reports;
  • Coordinates with project managers on contract change orders;
  • Reviews Contractor’s baseline schedules and monthly schedule updates;
  • Conducts Time Impact Analysis of change order impacts;
  • Provides scheduling requirements in construction contract documents;
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure risk identification and forecasting.
  • Evaluate and recommend schedule recovery strategies.
