About The Position

Shimizu North America is seeking an experienced Scheduler to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules for complex design and construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope by coordinating with project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience working on Industrial and Manufacturing or Commercial construction projects as a scheduler
  • Expertise with cost loading and resource loading schedules
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 required
  • General knowledge or project controls and reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and manage detailed design and construction schedules from project initiation through completion
  • Coordinate with project teams to gather inputs, constraints, track progress, and identify potential delays
  • Perform schedule analysis including but not limited to critical path method (CPM) and risk assessment
  • Monitor project milestones and provide regular monthly reports and 6-week lookahead schedules to stakeholders
  • Identify schedule risks and work with project teams to propose and implement mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Review schedules submitted by architects, engineers, and subcontractors and integrate them into the master schedule
  • Support project teams with planning, sequencing, and resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of schedule changes and impacts
