About The Position
Citizens Memorial Hospital is hiring a Scheduler for its Radiology Department. The position coordinates scheduling for complex exams, processes physician orders, and provides receptionist support. The Scheduler welcomes patients, completes registrations, directs patients to the appropriate areas, coordinates schedules across surgery, anesthesia, modalities, technologists, and radiologists, and updates technologists about walk-in and no-show appointments. Additional duties include acknowledging patients entering the waiting room, registering later-scheduled patients, and chaperoning late MRI patients. This is a PRN position on the day shift, Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., for 36 hours every two weeks. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing tasks on a computer.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Customer service skills.
- SAFE Training within one year, with annual renewal.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while performing tasks on a computer.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clerical skills is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge patients as they enter the waiting area or waiting room.
- Enter patient information to complete registrations, including registering later-scheduled patients.
- Direct patients to appropriate areas.
- Coordinate surgery, anesthesia, modality, technologist, and radiologist schedules for complex exams.
- Process physician orders.
- Act as the department receptionist.
- Update technologists about walk-in and no-show appointments.
- Chaperone late MRI patients.
