About The Position

Citizens Memorial Hospital is hiring a Scheduler for its Urology Surgical Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri. The clinic treats a variety of urological illnesses, injuries, and ailments, and offers diagnostic procedures, kidney repairs, bladder reconstructions, kidney stone removals, and surgeries for genital or urinary cancers. The Scheduler helps ensure payers are prepared to reimburse CMH for scheduled services in accordance with payer-provider contracts. The role involves contacting payers to obtain authorization and coordinating with the Specialty clinic team so surgical schedules are filled and patients are scheduled promptly with the authorizations needed for surgery coverage. This is a full-time, day-shift position with hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service or scheduling experience.
• Organization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Ensure payers are prepared to reimburse CMH for scheduled services in accordance with payer-provider contracts.
• Contact payers to secure authorization.
• Work with the Specialty clinic team to ensure surgical schedules are filled.
• Ensure patients are scheduled timely with all authorizations in place for coverage of surgery.
