Scheduler, Full-Time, Outpatient
About The Position
University Diagnostics is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Scheduler to join its patient-focused team at the Hall of Fame outpatient imaging center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role supports daily center operations by coordinating patient imaging appointments, handling a high volume of incoming calls, and providing a positive patient experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The position offers opportunities for professional development and advancement, with a stated career path from Scheduler I to Scheduler II, Business Office Supervisor, and Business Office Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED to be competitive.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to document information accurately and concisely.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls professionally and courteously.
- Schedule and coordinate patient imaging appointments.
- Assist patients with appointment inquiries, scheduling changes, and general questions.
- Maintain accurate patient information and medical records.
- Communicate with patients, referring physician offices, and internal team members.
- Provide excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Support daily business office operations as needed.
