About The Position

This role is primarily responsible for the construction and dismantling of scaffolding. Key duties include determining the amount of materials needed, identifying appropriate construction locations, and transporting scaffolding materials. The position requires a strong understanding and adherence to strict safety policies and procedures, particularly those related to scaffolding.

Requirements

Knowledge and compliance with all safety policies and procedures regarding scaffolding.
Must know basic math and be able to follow instructions.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or its equivalent, and/or Trade School.
Two to four years of experience in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

Construction and dismantling of scaffolding.
Determining amount of materials needed.
Identifying appropriate construction locations.
Transporting scaffolding materials.
Unloading scaffolding equipment on site.
Setting down base plates on the ground at regular intervals and putting up the scaffolding polies (standards) and fixing the horizontal tubes (ledgers) to them with couples.
Fixing the scaffolding to the structure to make it more stable, using short tie tubes.
Laying planks (battens) across the scaffolding for workers to walk on.
Fixing guard rails and safety netting.
Taking down the scaffolding after a job is finished.
Understand and follow strict safety policies and procedures; especially as it relates to scaffolding.
