About The Position

As a Saw Operator at McLanahan, you will support manufacturing operations by preparing raw materials for production. You will work with equipment, read blueprints, and help keep production moving efficiently. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using measuring tools and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating industrial saws.
• Overhead crane and rigging experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate horizontal and vertical band saws and other cutting equipment to prepare materials according to specifications.
• Read blueprints, verify measurements, and make precise cuts that meet production and quality requirements.
• Load and unload materials from saws, storage racks, and vendor deliveries using overhead cranes and material-handling equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Keep workspaces safe and organized and aligned with 5S standards.
• Work with team members across shifts, assist with cross-training, and help maintain efficient department workflow.
